About...that

"The hamlet" is a medieval village used by Vanguard Re-enactment Guild for it's weekly meetings. It has also hosted immersive historical re-enactment events of European cultures.

The site has been generously provided by Medieval Fight Club for the purpose of creating a semi permanent medieval themed village. 

Our aim to have a functional village space & create atmosphere for re-enactment events continues. There are many small structures in various conditions and states of usability.

A long term goal is to construct many projects with period methods as used in medieval European cultures. We want to do this to further re-enacment, the understanding of our ancestors, and to explore how they did it, as well as discovering practical archeology of why those techniques worked. That certainly does not mean that after hand drilling a few hole that we won't pull out a power drill to complete the project.
